Birmingham Wedding Photography | Justin and Becky

Very special wedding this time and I’ve tried to limit the highlights but it’s one of my best mates so it’s kind of difficult! I’ll keep the talking to a minimum so you can get to the fun, that was basically his motto too… it really was “all about the dancing” on the evening!

The day started a little different for me, champagne breakfast, just a sip of champagne for me though of course,  top table seat at the wedding breakfast and then a lot of laughs and good times on the evening! Oh and I took the photographs:

The reception was held at Rubery Social Club, the catering by Angie’s Catering Services, the limousine hired from Mann’s Limos and the flowers by Petal’s Florist.

Tracy Greenhall - Just had a look at the wedding pictures of our beautiful daughter, Rebecca and her beloved new husband (and handsome!, Justin! WOW!! They are gorgeous. Can’t wait to have some photo’s in a photo frame in our lounge!

Photography Lessons | Birmingham and Beyond!

As many of you know, I also give one to one photography lessons to individuals looking to get to grips with the basics of photography, for example how to use flash correctly to avoid unsightly shadows , and more advanced techniques.

Personally, I hate sticking my head in a fat text book and trying to learn, I’d much rather get out there and practice. So my approach is to spend time talking with a student, explaining the techniques from a real life viewpoint and then putting it into practice!

Had a great session on Monday with a new photographer trying to get the most out of her Sony Alpha digital slr. She had a background in film cameras and a real good eye for an image but wanted to really “focus” on getting her flash usage correct and to get her head around the “science” of aperture, shutter speeds, ISO and manual settings. Turns out she did pretty good the other side of the camera too!

Here’s one tip from the session… Might take some thought if you’re newer to flash photography: You can bounce your flash off a surface… even outdoors. (But not from the sky, that’s stupid!)

Northants Wedding Photography – Sophie and Warren | All Saints, Mears Ashby and Park View, Moulton

Dawn and Craig Banks - If you are thinking of hiring Damian, THEN DO SO!!! His manner on our wedding day was relaxed and unobtrusive and all of our guests commented on his pleasant attitude.

You may think that being this laid back Damian might fall down on the business side of things but you could not be more wrong. We were kept up to date with all aspects of our order, Damian text us while we were on honeymoon so that we could view our photos on the internet, and then let us know when we could expect the dvd and the wedding album.

Utterly superb, a brilliant photographer and a gentleman.
