Dawn and Craig Banks - If you are thinking of hiring Damian, THEN DO SO!!! His manner on our wedding day was relaxed and unobtrusive and all of our guests commented on his pleasant attitude.

You may think that being this laid back Damian might fall down on the business side of things but you could not be more wrong. We were kept up to date with all aspects of our order, Damian text us while we were on honeymoon so that we could view our photos on the internet, and then let us know when we could expect the dvd and the wedding album.

Utterly superb, a brilliant photographer and a gentleman.

Bass Festival | Insanity Isn’t – Mac Arts Centre, Birmingham

The press blurb reads.. “Hip hop artist Rudi Goblen assumes the role of Acey Sickley, fighting for air in the insanity of modern America. Expect rhymes, B-boy moves and live music.” I guess that’s how I’d sum it up too but really for me this is my highlight of the Bass Festival 2010.

I’m not here to review the show of course but to give you a set of images to give you a taste of the show and two words.. Insanity Isn’t.

Check Rudi out at the following links and if you want to get a good idea of what all this sounds like then sign up for the (free!) album download at this link: http://rudigoblen.bandcamp.com

Birmingham artist Kokumo, who featured in last years 3 month exhbition at the Drum, put on his dub poetry theatre production as part of this years Bass Festival.  The show features great music, spoken word, dance and good vibes with a real backbone. Definitely worth checking out.

It took place at The Rep (Birmingham Repertory Theatre who were very welcoming and helpful. Here’s a few highlights…
