And on top of that you&#8217;ve posted photos on <a title=\"Damian Brown on Facebook\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/damianbrownphotography\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook<\/a>, <a title=\"Damian Brown on Instagram\" href=\"http:\/\/instagram.com\/damianbrown\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a>, <a title=\"Damian Brown on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/damianbrown\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter<\/a>\u2026 But are you getting the best out of your phone images? Does it matter?<\/p>\n<p>Well this is a quick step by step guide to what I do with almost every single image I post, from my iPhone 5 (and all my previous phones).<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BJp0ujwN9mM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>So what I did and what you can do to make the most of your smartphone photographs:<\/p>\n<p>1- I installed <a title=\"Snapseed for iPhone\" href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/gb\/app\/snapseed\/id439438619?mt=8\" target=\"_blank\">Snapseed<\/a>. You can try photoshop or some other editing app but the principle is the same.<\/p>\n<p>2 &#8211; Take a photograph, selfie, whatever (duh)<\/p>\n<p>3 &#8211; Open it in Snapseed (or any editing app)<\/p>\n<p>4 &#8211; Adjust the following to taste, in order to get the best out of the captured image. The file will allow for a degree of improvement so don&#8217;t be afraid to experiment. You&#8217;ll find this in Tune Image:<\/p>\n<p>Brightness<\/p>\n<p>Ambience<\/p>\n<p>Contrast<\/p>\n<p>Shadows<\/p>\n<p>Warmth (this is effective the white balance) We can talk about white balance in another post if you like!<\/p>\n<p>5 &#8211; Adjust the sharpness (in snapseed this is called Details). I find around 40 is safe. Don&#8217;t go too high, well try it and see what happens, but don&#8217;t save.
